I am the type of person who does not like anyone to buy them anything. I buy everything for myself (very frugal at that) and pretty much the only stuff that I dont have that I would like/need are just too expensive for me to buy. I make do with everything that I have. Yes, there are some things I would "like" to have, but I would feel guilty asking for them. I really need nothing, other than lots and lots of condoms and/or birth control vouchers for the future wife ;). Im not about to fill my list full of DVD movies. There wont be any dang time for watching movies.

Anyway, what did you register for?

My fiancee is getting frustrated with me because I dont want anything. We already have all the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom stuff picked out. All I have mentioned so far is a food dehydrator.

THings for a house. Tools, supplies, small appliances, etc.

The point of a registry is it's your WISH list. Put on anything you think you'd want and if someoen buys it, then great.

new plates, glasses for everyday use
a decent cooking knives set
towels
fine china
fine flatware
fine stemware

but we purposely didn't put too much on the list because we wanted cash.

from what i've been told, it can't be something for yourself, it has to be something for the both of you. that should limit your choices. ;)

Just give that little price gun to your wife and stand back. She'll know what to do with it.

no, i am not a guy, however, my Fiancee did go with me to register at Marshall Fields as well as he registered at Home Depot too!

We got new bar stuff, he asked for tools, stuff for a house...
I know its hard to make a registry especialy if you are the type of person that likes to buy things on their own, but keep in mind that people WANT to give you things to celebrate your new union and if you dont register for stuff you want, they will just give you crap you will hate!

Enjoy registering!

Why would she be getting frustrated because YOU don't want anything? Are you marrying an adult?

i know, its kinda the same way we are. we have our own place and just about everything we need, however, we are young and dont have "nice" things, so we registered for stuff like that, find some stuff you would like to upgrade.
Today though, things are not like they used to be. i have seen couples register for tvs, camera, even honeymoons...
dont just stick with the "traditional" stuff.... so many stores have registeries its crazy... even check out amazon

Uhh! Yes, actually an older woman :) 11 months anyway. She is very mature. I am very selfless and easily content.

A bunch of home related crap. Half of which we never use. Real glad we put that crock pot on there, really getting a ton of use out of that one!

I have joked about putting my student loans and truck payment on the registry list :)

now that would be awesome.
