Not married, but in a 12yr LTR with a child.

Seperate accounts!
I give her a lump sum check monthly which covers roughly 60% of the bills.

I am in the joint everything camp UNLESS one person absolutely doesn't have self-control (in which case I would question to desire to marry).

There is no magic solution to this problem and it has been around forever. My married friends each do it differently and they all have their complaints.

Once you are married there isn't any "my stuff" anymore. Sorry. Everything is for the "team" as it should be.

Let's say you keep "your" money from being mingled with "her" money. If you do get divoriced one day she is going to have some slimy lawyer take you to court for part of "your" money and eventually it will become some lawyer's money even if you win.

Do you think that because you make more money that you are entitled to more things or a better way of life than your wife?

WTH, If you're bloody married it shouldn't matter. You should both be responsible people that can handle buying stuff without being dips. If you can't you shouldn't be married.
