You're absolutely right. Women get what they want in court in a divorce hearing, and if they have a child they receive even more! How is that fair? Over exaggeration. Women you marry are entitled to half, just as you are of them....unfortunately for the man usually that is a loss of his own net worth. Hence the pre-nuptual.

I was in a bitter divorce, she got less than I originally offered her once we went to court....I did not have representation, she did.

Almost any divorced man I have known that lost it 'all' gave up voluntarily and are now bitter because they thought their ex would see that as compassion and change their minds. You are looking at 1/2, however if you lose more, your attorney sucked.

Now with kids it's sort of biased, however, that is the way society set it up....women are perceived better caretakers. Once a woman has that established then yes, she has the power in court especially if she was planning the divorce and 'increased' her lifestyle the last few years. Now she may be entitled to alimony + child support = to a lavish life style.

On the flip side there are many men that deserved what they got. Men are more vocal about how they were the good guys and their ex was mental. Yet they can't supply any kind of reason why and none of their wife's friends noticed....

When my wife broke her neck everyone she knew began to outcast her...except her family which told her it was my fault for influencing friends of her's I had never even bet, as well as guys in general...she thought her infidelity would have some harming effect on me.
