Marlborough, Massachusetts

I was offered an internship at a company located in Marlborough. Never been around the Northeast area and would like to know what's the city and surrounding areas like. Boston is 1 hr South of Marlborough?

I'll also be looking for an apartment there - what's a relatively low-cost, close, and decent city to live in around Marlborough? Thanks!

i live about 25-30 min from marlboro, and marlboro is about 30 miles west of boston
marlboro itself is a pretty decent city, for close areas to live in, look at westboro, worcester, northboro or most anywhere on rt 9 or rt 20

marlboro isn't bad. my folks were up there for a couple years. beware of all the dunkin' donuts, though. they grow like rats up there. there's a lot of historical stuff in the area if you're into that. walden's pond, revolutionary battlefields, etc.

Good luck finding a cheap apartment. Worcester is the nearest city, but I doubt the housing is going to be any cheaper there.

Thanks for the replies. Ive been browsing through craigslist.com and roommates.com, but am lost because I'm unsure which parts of this city I should be targeting (N/S/E/W/Central?) The company is Boston Scientific, located 100 Boston Scientific Way, Marlborough, MA 01752. Any input or misc. advices is greatly appreciated.

Boston Scientific is a good company and as others have said Marlborough MA is an ok place to live, they just added alot of stores onto the Solomon Pond Mall so that is getting nicer...and the rent while still high there isn't as bad as other places. I used to rent in Westborough which is about 15min south of there on 495.
