Body shamed by a potential employer called "kick-ass masterminds", that hurts.

Seriously though, I thought this article was a pretty good review of how not to treat people.

I hope she sue's them out of existence.

Kickass Masterminds describes itself as a consulting firm that specializes in "rigorously curated and professionally facilitated structured mastermind groups."

What does that even mean, by the way? Sounds like a description of AT forums, to me.

Sounds like some Pickup Artist looking to fleece InCels. Would explain them raging about a woman having a pic in a swimsuit on her personal Instagram.

That’s a new generation mission statement that doesn’t make any sense. Or it may be millennials.

Really dumb move. She is clearly an excellent marketer.

And they clearly could have used some pointers in marketing before opening their mouths.

Step 1: Don't piss off the internet.

Doesn't look like they we're "body shaming," more like "don't have unprofessional stuff on your social media in this industry" shaming... Which they did in a very unprofessional way.. a lotta fail

Company website is no longer a blank page. It simply does not exist anymore. I suspect that it's pining for the fjords of Norway. ;)

This photo is wrong some how? This is not a bikini model. If she is to be branded as one then they are not the masters of marketing by a long shot.

You would think a marketing firm would be PR savvy. Being this bad at your job should drive you out of business pretty quickly.

Well, they seem to be sort of back online with, I think, a different url. But it's a 'holder' promising great things to come and no active links.

I figured they'd be back under a different name but I guess they've decided to try and ride this out.

I may be mansplaining here, but this sounds like a case of one veteran marketer insecure in her looks/body taking it out on a younger, more attractive woman applying for a job. Gender-based discrimination if I ever saw it.

Wouldn't that be age discrimination? I guess you're saying the woman wouldn't say that about a man. Could be that as a woman she felt like she's qualified to act like that towards another woman.

I'm not sure what to make of it. Seems mostly like a woman that got used to being critical of others (think someone super into beauty pageant stuff), was even trying to build a brand out of it, and then didn't think things through and got a little loose with her criticism.

The woman calling her marketing brand "Kickass Masterminds" but then being critical like this is weird. For some reason I have a hunch this might not be the last time we hear about this woman/company. Something here is giving me a bit of a vibe like that one bakery with the crazy owners. Or the one PR idiot that got the ire of Penny Arcade.

Oh and she claims that the bikini pic didn't rule the person out as a potential hire (that they were still considering her, and even claimed the woman had contacted her expressing that she was still interested in the job).

I am sure customers are lining up to hire a marketing firm that'll expose them to tortuous interference lawsuits.
