Marketing Jobs in California

I'll be graduating a year from now with a bachelors in marketing.

I would like to know where the jobs are at in California.

Where is housing cheap in California (not a joke)?

Anyways a little insight would be nice... to either stay away or go to other regions in the US.

Central valley has cheap housing(compared to SoCal, the Bay Area, and sacramento area). I'm not sure about marketing jobs in the area though.

Actually central valley is pretty decent compared to the rest of california... not bad... not bad...

I'm just looking for places to live in the area on housing websites

Not really. Cheap by comparison to the other housing markets listed, but still outrageous compared to much of the country. I live in Modesto, which is considered commutable to S.F...(100 miles each way) We bought our house in 99 for $130K, and it's now valued at $400K...and while the market has slowed, it's still going up...just not as fast.

Marketing jobs for larger companies are going to be bay area or LA area. There are jobs in the central valley for marketing, just depends on what industry you are looking to get into.

MOST of my neighbors certainly do. I did for many years. They estimate over 100K people commute into various parts of the bay area from the valley every day...some only about 50 miles each way, others, well over 100 miles...

The big stuff will be either in Silicon Valley, which is essentially the area between Palo Alto/Menlo Park down to San Jose, where a lot of the big tech/dot comes are. Or, the big financial companies would be in San Francisco..
