I can’t wait until Biden is able to not bother getting cabinet approvals, he can just staff every department as “Acting”
this

"The first option is a 1998 law that allows a president to temporarily fill vacant executive branch positions that typically require Senate confirmation with “acting” secretaries. "

Bridenstine says he’ll step down from NASA when Biden takes over. So I didn’t take it as he’s leaving now.

He’s been a fairly good administrator.

I'd assume a canning is coming given the mood of the president.

Possibly, but again the president hasn’t normally had a beef with him. Plus in a roundabout way he said he wouldn’t work with the next president which I’m sure Trump would take favorably

(Offering to step down when a new President comes in is also normal, so I actually think he’s trying to thread the needle here)

You nailed it with that descriptive. It's the Trump Administrative Shitcannery being brought online giving Trump an assembly line style of efficiency from which to get revenge on any disloyal career administrator that made him look bad going back to 2016 yet had to put up with because that too would have made him look bad.

Fauci must have already packed up with one foot out the door.

This guy was a real radical.

He had the wacky notion that deploying the military domestically should only be a last resort (this coming up around the protests).

He wasn't going to allow military bases to display the Confederate flag--which as we all know, was not the flag of a bunch of traitors who fought against America so that they could continue using slave labor.

Again, a real radical. I'm sure he had some Republic values of course, having been hired in the first place.

Is it too dark to think Mark Esper refused an order to deploy US troops on American soil?
I know (I think) you grew up in a "the south will rise again," but I think you'll have to keep waiting for the civil war to start.
