I agree Mariucci is a quality coach but was in a bad position. The niners are an aging team with severe salary cap problems (Like Dallas) He needs to get a Team like the lions who have young talent and aggressive management.

I thought Morningweg and Millen were staying another year?

That is what was said before Mariucci became available. I would wager that it will change if he is interested in the Lions job (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE)

Aging? Who's aging besides Garcia? If you want to talk about aging, go across the bay.

Inevitable move since he was brought in to win a SB and couldn't come close.

But this crap about Mora as a candidate is simply incredible. He is a total clue**** and the main reason they've been struggling.

I'm disappointed in the 9ers for letting him go. He will find great success elsewhere.

i'm a jaguars fan, and i don't know if i really like mariucci as our next coach...but the play calling would definitely be more exciting than coughlin's offense

Mariucci is a good coach but it seemed to me that after the whole thing with the Bucs last year, the writing was on the wall. No surprise, really. I'd like to see him at Jacksonville.

Dennis Green is a good coach, but not better than Mariucci. It's obvious the niners owner want to win the Super Bowl, Mariucci hasn't delivered, Dennis Green hadn't either with the Vikes.

the only bad thing about Green is he sometimes makes decisions based on race. (I am a born and raised vikes fan.)

i just hope the Niners change up their playcalling on offense. Everyone's using that west coast system these days. I'd like to see them throw down the field more than 5 yards ALOT more.
