mario vs sonic

Sonic was just to fast to be any fun really.

Dreamcast should had helped sega more since that console was great at the time.

Mario 3 the best in the series.
 
The thing that probably hurt Sonics popularity also is that when the NES and Sega Master System were out at the same times Mario was going strong on Nintendo's side while Sega didn't have Sonic until the Sega Genesis days, years later, at least from what I remember.

Mario had a cartoon too. It had live-action parts with Captain Lou the wrestler, who kicks vast quantities of ass I might add.
 
on a good day, i can beat sonic 2 within 2 hrs, getting all the choas emeralds and over 100 rings a level. In the end, i had a wicked high score with an insane amount of extra lifes and continuations.

But as much fun as i have playing sonic 2 on my sega genesis, I still play super mario 3 on my NES. I love playing through almost everyboard and getting as much 1-ups as possible.

Mario > sonic
 
Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best artifice ever crafted by the human race.

Some may say Super Mario World is better. They are wrong.
