My only major complaint is that Grand Prix is limited to one player. Didn't all of the previous games allow for two players in Grand Prix? I know MK😀D did.
It sucks having to do VS. over and over again if I want to race with the woman, because I'm not really completing anything.

I love the game and can't get enough of it. I must have some kind of battered wife syndrome because the game can be downright harsh sometimes, yet I keep coming back. More often that I'd care to count, I've been sent from 1st place to 12th by a series of unfortunate events?

huh? theres up to 4 way multiplayer available for the Grand Prix. Or are you just complaining that it takes longer to unlock things? If so, my and my GF just took turns on the single player.. It's really not that bad..
edit for past tense.. we've unlocked everything already 😛

Not really. When it doesn't count towards unlocking anything, or show up on your card, it isn't really multiplayer Grand Prix. It's just a bunch of VS. races chained together.

I see...
in that case, just take turns.. its really not so bad. The only other mario kart I've played was the SNES version and as far as I know, to unlock the later cups you had to win on your own in single player.. Gamers today are spoiled, want everything easy and upfront..

Taking turns is lame, and doesn't accomplish what I'm looking for.

Neither does whining about it online
Unlock everything at once and be done with it, then play multiplayer to your hearts content...
Or.. post about it online?

We play multiplayer all the time, I was just lamenting on the fact that if I want to unlock things I can only do it by myself. Which I have been doing.
