I bought this tonight and was playing with a couple friends. It's a hell of a lot of fun. Everyone laughing and swearing and throwing controllers on the floor. Good times! It's probably worth getting a gamecube just for this game, as long as you have friends to play with. I have no idea if the single player game is any good.

Single player is EXTREMELEY frustrating at first, especially because the computer cheats so much. But later you'll get the hang of it and should be able to win handily... I highly reccommend single player to unlock everything though (more levels and more characters). And if you finish every single cup at ever CC, you get a different startup screen/menu and such.

Playing the Bomb-game is especially great when you're with ladies, as most of them suck at video games and you can play teams. :)

Oh yeah, pickup a broadband adapter and hook up two GC's for 8 player action. Can even play online now w/ warp pipe

If you don't have it, pick up Super Smash Brothers: Melee. It's even better.

Mario Kart is good, don't get me wrong... It just could have been so much better. More levels, a level editor, the ability to hold items behind you to block, jumping, more crazy shortcuts.... It just seems like they didn't try very hard.

At first I felt like this but the more I played it the better it became.

The inability to hold items behind your back is great. It requires timing of using your weapons, and makes it important to save items w/ one character. Jumping would have been nice though.

More levels, meh. Most levels aren't very creative but when you're racing actual human counterparts it gets quite crazy enough. Level editor... I haven't seen any console game do that yet.

Shortcuts defeat the purpose of racing IMO, and absolutey sucked when your friend that plays it 10x more than you, knows them all and executes them to perfection. Whats the point of racing if only one person can take the shortcuts?

SSBM, is only fun w/ 4 players and people who know how to play. Quite boring otherwise.

Tony Hawk games have editors on PC, I don't know about consoles, but why not be the first? The ability to edit stuff takes games to new levels.

True, but multiple paths are nice. Do you go the quick but dangerous route; the long, safe route; or the middle road?

I hate it with 4 people at the same time. Any more than 2 and I can't find my character. :D:eek:

I agree with Chaotic. Having more than 1 route is definately a good thing. Just make it so the fastest way is the hardest. God SSB:M rocks....I got really good with the 64 version even though I didn't own an N64. I'm pretty good at SSB:M too even though I don't own a GC either.
