What's the BFD? Anyone ever see the crossfit games? Women can be trained to do pullups and then adminisister the new standards.
Crossfit pull ups, are not Marine Corps pull ups. You cannot kip, sway, swing, or do any of the other stuff they do in crossfit games. You hang there elbows all the way straight, go up till your chin is over the bar, go back all the way down. Straight up, and down. Nothing else.
Sure women can train to do them correctly, and do a lot of them. Crossfit games are women at the height of training and their bodies capabilities. Comparing them is just silly.
The fact is, women shouldn't be in real combat roles. Their bodies are not designed to do the same things. Everything about their physical training is geared different because their bodies are made differently. In boot camp for the E course and others, when you get to the part where you scale a wall, there is a male and female wall. The female wall is far shorter. They do a LOT less in the CFT in all three sections. And now they can't even do 3 pull ups. Even if they did, they don't need to get 20 to get a perfect score like males do.
Nawww... a lot of really fit women can easily do 10-12 pull ups no sweat. Damn I have seen them in the gym. I looked on youtube and you can find hundreds of fit females doing pull ups with no issue:

The problem is that no one is training these women in our armed forces. I wonder why that is? They should be getting physical fitness training and brought up to speed with everyone else.
Women can do pull ups, but they need to train for it. This just sounds like more crap from those in the military who have agendas against having women in the military. If you don't train them then you can point fingers and say "see they can't even do pull ups"!
I only watched the first video. Those "pull ups' WOULD NOT COUNT in the Marine Corps. You cannot sway and kip. Both of which makes them way easier.
If you don't think they are getting physical training while in boot camp, you're delusional.
