I don't get it...I could see someone in the National Guard or even the Army doing that, since presumably some of them just joined for the college money...but a Marine? Why would you pick the Marines if you didn't want to fight?

I saw that the other day. It really doesn't look like it did anything that wouldn't heal in a few weeks.

I knew a guy that shot himself in the foot to get out of the Marines. And this was the AIR WING Marines, in Southern California! Not like there was a HUGE chance of getting shot at there!

It had to have done some significant damage to the bone it'll take a long while for it to be fully healed, but it doesn't look like it was fully broken or anything. Marines has reserves too. My friend is in the marine reserves and his unit was deployed to Iraq. The day they found out they were deployed one of the marines punched a wall hard enough to break most his knuckles ended up getting demoted because of it.

Why would anyone in their right mind not wanting to go to a war zone sign up for the Marines with the Dub in the White House?

Come on get over to Iraq and help the poor American corporations rake in the money through no bid contracts. Those CEO's need to be able to fuel in their jets you know.

Yes, "John Doe" and his friend "Nate Doe" should never have posted their names
