Mariners baseball team going 100% streaming. Has this happened to your local team.

Well the reality of what the terse message on the cable system message for the Root Sports channel saying they ended operation 12/31/25 has hit home. Only Mariners.TV app or MLB with black out limitations available. So $19.99 a month, or $99.99 for a year. Well, seems if you want to watch a complete season, the 99.99 a year is the only viable option. Has this happened with your local sports team.
I'm actually, not surprised, I figured that they all were going to pay for streaming, Probably the reason why the value of these teams have ratcheted up so much. Never enough money.

Yar Mate! Lower the Sails, it's time to leave port....

i pay for the fucking nfl (last year ever) and more than a few times i'd have to switch to pirate sites because the stream keeps cutting, that and with travel it's not supported in other countries (vpn sometimes works, but again stream quality)

"Mariners TV will be available through traditional cable, satellite and internet TV providers, just like fans have watched Mariners Baseball in the past. Specific providers and channel information will be announced closer to Opening Day." Unless they put out something recently saying otherwise, I think it'll still be broadcast on another regular sports channel, they just haven't announced the new partner network yet.
I don't have cable so was paying $20/month for root last year, so no real change other than the year long package which is nice/a little cheaper.

There are pretty reliable "alternative" means to watch streaming services now but they still cost money. Better than signing up for 50 different streaming services though by far.
