This Marine's statement about covers it:

I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am not your servant. I am not your peasant. I am the person whom you serve.

That's ridiculous though, the marine is not the person she serves. He is one of millions of people that she serves; millions that I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn support her interpretation. He is no more special than anyone else.

Its not government tyrrany we should worry about, its our neighbors and kids teachers and half the country that thinks they have a right to control the other half and votes totalitarian bitches into power.

There will be another civil war in this country, not a revolution. Our government works fine, it's the voters abusing it to their own selfish ends so they can be smug to each other for getting their way.

While I agree with the sentiment, he must not have been much of a marine to have spent 8 years in the service and left a corporal.

I was thinking the same thing - an E-4 after eight years? It seems likely he was reduced in rank at least once, and/or served solely in a reserve capacity. I was never a Marine, but according to this - http://usmilitary.about.com/od/promotions/l/blenpromrates.htm - it would be typical to pin on corporal after two years and three months.

She serves herself mainly as do most of these career politicians. We wouldn't have that situation if there were term limits. SHE is no more special.

He was very likely busted down or he was a shit marine. While the navy is not the Marines, I don't think I ever met an 8 year e-4 that wasn't a shit bag or had recently been busted. (usually for being a shit bag)

That's a non sequitur. What the marine said was nonsensical considering that its quite likely a majority of her constituents favor this action.

Her constituents aren't the only citizens in this country. There needs to be term limits as she has become more of an aristocrat than a servant of the people.

But her constituents are the people she was elected to represent. Why are you upset about an elected representative representing the wishes of her constituents?

Thanks.
So which parts do you specifically disagree with?

I'm not diving down this rabbit hole...I'm tired. It's an open ended question and I think you know the answer.

Read the Constitution. The second amendment is clear. Her bill is violating that right.

How? Do all restrictions violate that right? If not, which ones don't?

Really? Most people are more interested in dancing with the stars than who is being elected to represent them. Not her fault, but that sure works to her advantage.

Does anyone else think saying you aren't going to register your weapons and then take a photo of the guns to post on the internet is kinda missing the point?

the cutting scores for his particular MOS will also play a very important role if I remember correctly (your military can be a little wierd at times).

Nice try. You're the one that says its unconstitutional and you think it's an assault on freedom. Surely you must have a reason why.

Go fishing somewhere else....nice try on your part. I believe in the basis of law in this country the Constitution. Really simple.

Oh they definitely can, but eight years is crazy regardless. For contrast, I made E4 at about the 1.5 year mark and E5 at about the 2 year mark. (was possible due to backdating of time in rate requirements).

While i was faster than most, 8 years is still pathetic.
