one of my simple faves for chicken to grill is good italian dressing.
For steak... i ususally do not use any marinade.
For shrimp: Sesame Ginger with olive oil and a bit of garlic. Grill shrimp and serve over a bed of jasmine rice

Same for me, except shrimp. I don't eat it, or any type of seafood for that matter.

Cerolo Mojo on steaks is insane. I know people whine and I used to about marinating steaks but put that stuff on for 24hrs and your well done steaks will be medium tenderness and the flavor is unbelieveable.

I can't find it online and I do not have a bottle in my fridge. If you go to Publix or WinnDixie or even super Walmart, go to the ethnic foods isle and it's there. It's Cerolo (spelling may be a little off) Mojo, it's in a clear bottle (big one's glass, small version is plastic) with a yellow label on it. I plan to do steaks this week, I will put either a pic or a link off of the bottle.

I like teriyaki a lot and use it on chicken, steak and shrimp. When I cook steak on my skillet, tho, I just make my own rub. For fish I usually just use a little lemon juice and some herbs and spices.

Anyone have any good venison marinades or recipes?

Korean BBQ marinade baby

never really measured things out so uh I'll just sort of wing it here

1/2 cup light soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
salt/pepper to taste
1 large sliced onion
2 or 3 minced garlic cloves
some chopped up green onions

Again, I've never really measured the amounts of stuff I throw in there but just adjust to your taste.

Marinade your beef short ribs or thinly sliced beef overnight.

I just rub a little fresh crushed garlic on my steaks and season with salt and peppar. Sear it until it's medium rare on a hot skillet with some butter and that's it.

For a roast I'll marinate that overnight in a mix of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, olive oil, red wine, red wine vinegar, salt and lots of fresh crushed pepper and whatever else I feel might be good in there.

Fish I like to do different things with. For really fresh salmon I have a special seasoning that I dust lightly on it and just bake it with a little butter on top. Other times I'll squeeze some fresh lemon juice and put some dill on it.

For chicken, I like to cook that with rosemary and olive oil or butter if cooking a whole chicken.

I don't really cook pork too often.

Add 1/4 part of teriyaki to your italian dressing and you can put it on most anything.

I always use the cast iron skillet method when doing steaks but if you want an incredible steak marinade, try this. It is awesome:

1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 Tbsp. minced garlic
6 Tbsp. minced onion
2 Tbsp. sesame seeds, pan toasted and crushed
1 tsp ginger (or 2 tsp fresh ginger root)
1/4 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp. oil (I use sesame oil but any oil is fine)

This is enough marinade for about 2 steaks, so adjust accordingly. Marinate overnight if possible. The longer the better! Works best with NY Strips and ribeyes but any cut will do.

That sounds yummy and I love me some Jasmine rice. :) Man, suddenly my leftovers from last night aren't sounding so great for lunch. I want a big fat steak or grilled shrimp now. :(

For sirloin I use either a red wine, worcestershire, or soy sauce base, but a better cut requires nothing, imo.
