It's awesome.

You just heard it? I believe it came out in '95 or '96. It's definitely better than the original and the video is something else.

I heard it on radio commercials for a Marilyn Manson concert like 4 years ago, but I just acquired the song. I also got a rave remix of Sweet Dreams.

It was widely accepted and was responsible for launching Marilyn Manson into the mainstream. IMO, Brian Warner owes his career to that remake.

Also, I don't think he made a song as good as that one again until "The Nobodies", semi-recently.

There are not enough adjectives in the english language to convey just how much that song sucks.

Better than the original, agnitrate? You need to step away from the crack pipe.

Crack pipe? I wish. Maybe then I would appreciate some music that other people enjoy.

Do you think the song sucks or his rendition of it sucks? I think his version is excellent. Perhaps if you had stated why you disliked it, I would actually have been able to tell you why I liked it so much. Until then, I'll just assume it's because you are afraid to like it because of the person who did it.

you mean 99 luftballons? Originally sung by Nena?

That song rules! It's on the GTA3:Vice City soundtrack. Classic 80's.

OK, my critiques:

Why does he always sound like he is trying to squeeze a bowling ball out of his rectum? He's singing like he has something wrong with him, being all breathy and like he's forcing the words out painfully. And then as it gets towards the end, he starts to randomly scream and go back to the annoying Passing-of-the-Bowling-Ball technique...It's as if he's thinking, "Well, I can't sing worth a crap, and this is going to sound especially crappy if I *try* to sing it, so I'll scream like I am mentally challenged! Yes, that ought to work!"

And the ICP are grand masters in vocal perfection.
