****Mariah Carey's "comeback" song has been leaked, but it might just end with a thud!

Hmm, I don't know what to think of this song. While it does sound nice, I don't know if this song could ever be a hit, or get any radio airplay. The song was slated for radio airplay starting October 1st, but Z100 of NYC leaked the song yesterday. The DJ said that he knew he wasn't supposed to play the song yet, but felt it was appropriate for the day (9/11). They have been playing it steadily since yesterday, so I guess that's a good thing (people are requesting it ).

MP3 - Recorded from radio, so it's REALLY crappy. Here's a CLEAR clip.

Mariah said publicly that she would try and be bold with her first single release, and not release a pop-radio friendly song. Well she accomplished that, but will the song make it?

EDIT: I've just recieved confermation that these clips are the fully mastered versions. Teh song was released as a "teaser" to Z100 so that they could see what she was working on. The final version of the song will be a little different.

Uhm.... no. Honey was the first Single of her with Da Brat. And that was somewhere in 1997. It went really downhill with the Rainbow Album, back in 1999.

Her first VOCAL collaboration was with Puff Daddy and ODB back in 1995, on Fantasy. SHe also worked with Da Brat and Jermaine Dupri ( JD ) on the Always be my baby remix. Her first real work with a rapper was when JD produced some songs with her back in 1992/1993. He worked on the remix for her song "Never Forget You". Not to mention, Mariah RAPS on her FIRST album, on a song called "prisoner". So, where did this "Ghetto Queen" mentality start?
