They are physically identical because they were played by the same actress. I really have to give the advantage to Mary Poppins in this contest. Any chick that can fly and bang a chimney sweeper at the same time will always get my vote.

Mary poppins would win in a heart beat 'cause all she needs to do is pull out the hat rack from her bag and club Maria over the head with it. Now, if Maria had the entire Von Trap family with her (and the Nazi boyfriend) then she'd win, but otherwise Mary Poppins would take the crown.
