Why do people keep talking about him being a VP. If he was born in Cuba that makes him ineligable to be President.
Anchor Baby lol.
Isn't this the guy that claimed he fled from Cuba with only the shirt on his back. Then it was exposed he actually .... oh well. Google it.
He didn't make that claim. BTW.
Yes, he did claim his parents left Cuba after Castro took over and now he denies it.
http://www.politifact.com/florida/s...rco-rubio-said-his-parents-came-america-foll/
Not really.
Cubans enjoy a special status because of their communist flavored govt. Once here they are legally allowed to remain. Accordingly, the anchor baby thing is of no use to them.
You're missing the point of last year's Rubio scandal. For years Rubio claimed his parents fled Cuba because of the Castro takeover. Turns out the truth is they immigrated here a few years BEFORE the revolution. When the truth came out Rubio claimed he was relying upon "family legends."
Are you claiming that this MSNBC political piece isn't intended to be a negative piece on Republican Senator Rubio?
I've had a few contributors here at P&N lately criticize me because i'm upfront about my conservative/Republican partisanship. That somehow my being honest about my stance is a bad thing. I guess they like seeing people like you and first etc. being disingenuous about their political stance.
Any reasonable person reading this story by MSNBC will know it for what it is, which is a political hit piece.
Isn't it odd the only people who would consider this a negative are the fundies.
Actually the only ones that don't think this is a hit piece are the hard core lefty extremists.

A member of Rubio's family iirc, is also a drug gang member.

Where dd anyone lie?
In what way is it a "hit piece?"
Rubio was baptized as a Mormon.
Rubio wasn't honest/ or mistaken about his family's past concerning Cuba.
Would the above stated be incorrect?
Quick: What religion is the son of Cuban exiles?
Answer: Roman Catholic, right? Right.
And also Mormon?
Thats right, Marco Rubio, the conservative senator on everyones short list for vice president, was a member of the LDS Church in his youth, BuzzFeed reports.
When Rubio's family moved to a suburb of Las Vegas, near cousins who were Mormon, many in his immediate family (but not his father) converted, including Marco. Rubio was baptized in the church when he was 8 and enthusiastically participated in the religion, according to the report.
Rubio spent his childhood as a faithful Mormon.
The story of Rubio's conversion to Mormonism, his enthusiastic immersion in LDS adolescent life, and his eventual departure from the church was recently related to BuzzFeed by two of the Senator's first cousins, Mo Denis, a Democratic State Senator in Nevada, and his sister Michelleboth of whom were close to his family at the time.
Really? Not a hit piece? The enthusiastic and faithful descriptions coming from, wait, a democratic senator cousin and his sister who remembered this 33 years ago? Oh yes, mr buzzfeed, he was an enthusiastic and faithful little 8 year mormon.
It's all about context and politics. He was 8 years old and joined when his family joined. It lasted a few years until his family switched to catholic.

It could be we don't have the same definition of "hit piece" neuman. I never said it was a lie or it lied, i said it was a hit piece.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hit piece
1. hit piece
an attempt to turn public opinion against someone/something through the appearance of objective reporting or editorializing.
How do you feel about the reporting of Obama and Reverend Wright?
How did I feel at the time? That most of it was bullshit. He joined the church for political reasons and for Chicago it was a pretty good move, Wright was popular, drew big crowds and had lots of political connections. It's an example of regional politics that don't play well nationally. I would classify most the Wright/Obama pieces as hit pieces.
The difference is that the Wright/Obama story was pure conjecture from the rightwingers, while the Rubio story is fact....
The only people that would have a problem with Rubio would be those folks that have the same problem with Mitt Romney...
\and it sure as hell isn't the "leftwingers."
\\frankly, there's no reason for Romney to not have wrapped up his nom. as this point...
Come on Neuman, you're dodging. It's not hard to say, it would be honest and accurate too!
The Rubio/ Mormon story is a hit piece
Then you can go on about Wright/Obama, but my original point, the one you questioned is, that it's a "hit piece" is accurate.
What's the problem with Rubio being baptized Mormon?
