College basketball is much better than Pro. BTW, I have money riding on these games!!! ;)

Dawg: we could only hope. :) I would love to lose the money...just to have Wake win it. I'll start praying now (hehe).

I know its unlikely, but I thought the other teams didn't stand much of a chance. If it helps I had a hard time with the Maryland Stanford game. I kinda think Maryland will take it. :(

march madness isnt called that for fun... these "amateurs" are much more fun to watch than the NBA, seeing that its about the team, not the individual. Its easy to get into it and theres no harm in getting excited.

I will tell you something....Duke will not make it to the final four. Want to know why? They are a 3-point phenom team. They will be the 3-point shoot. All it is going to take is one game where they are off. Since Boozer is out they don't have a real big guy inside. Look for UCLA to kick their a$$. This is coming from an ACC fan. I go to Clemson University so I have seen my crappy team play all the acc teams this year. UNC has a chance to do well if they start playing well again. They really played poorly at the end of the season.

Maryland will go to the final four. Maryland can shoot the 3-point shoot and have big guys underneath.

I don't really want to put my whole bracket up so here are my picks from final four on:
Final Four:Duke & Maryland, N. Carolina & Arizona.
Championship: Duke & N. Carolina.
Champion: Duke.

I really don't like Duke, but they looked so good in the ACC tournament. I'd like to see Michigan State win it again though, I don't think they have the leadership to do it.

Well, it won't be ALABAMA, who got SHAFTED.

21-11 and didn't make the tournament. Yet they beat:
Kentucky (2 seed)
Ole Miss (3 seed)
Ohio State (5 seed)
Georgia (8 seed)
Alabama State (16 seed)

Georgia is 16-14 with a loss to Alabama, yet they get in and we didn't. Ohio State is 20-10 with a loss to Alabama, yet they are a FIVE SEED!

Well, I pick Duke over Michigan State for the championship. Biggest surprise in the tourney - Kent, who will make the Sweet 16.

IF you are going to make picks anyway, go to sportsline on nbc (I think it's nbc, one of the netorks anyway) and put your picks in the million dollar bracket. It's free and if you get all 63 correct you win $10,000,000 :)

Err, March Madness is probably the best tournament of any sport, pro or "amateur".

Rio Rebel: The reason Alabama got left out of the NCAA tournament and Georgia got in is because Alabama's strength of schedule was very weak while Georgia played the toughest schedule in the country. I know it seems unfair, but the selection committee really rewarded the teams that played a tough schedule and had at least a decent record. It's not just Alabama either. Georgetown was in the top 25 for a majority of the year, but they got "rewarded" for their schedule strength, which was like 200 or something like that, with a 10 seed. I think the main issues with Alabama were the weak schedule and their mediocre conference record. While Georgia and Alabama had similar conference record, playing the toughest schedule in the country was the difference. I agree that March Madness is the best time of the year for sports.....GO ORANGE!!!!! :)
