Thanks for the reminder! I just ordered another gig of the good stuff. I live about 5 miles from Crucial in Boise so I get to pay sales tax but still a very very good deal on rocket fast memory!

webpromo is 15% off but you can always get what they call the 10% off by going regular.

Thanks for the heads-up. Now I'll have to quit buying Crucial memory one stick at a time. But since I already have more than enough... (My relatives are grateful.)

I just ordered this for my Abit BX6-r2. Any incompatibilities with Intel BX chip set mainboards? If it doesn't work, it isn't the end of the world, as I am probably going the Athlon route in a month or two.

I used both the webpromo and Ebates. The Ebates banner disappeared during the order finalizing, but I think the extra 5% will come through. This equals 20% discount, which more than offsets the stupid sales tax.

I bought one of these fat cas2 sticks last night and am tempted to buy a few more before they start charging for delivery...

I figure I can always sell my old ram on the FS/Trade board. ;)

To get both Ebates and the webpromo discount, click on the http://www.crucial.com/webpromo/ link. Put any old company name in the box and click on Go button. Now go to Ebates from this browser. Go back to Crucial from Ebates. When you browse and look at memory, it should show the 15% discount in the price. At least I hope this works.

Is there a way to do a Staples PM on the webpromo, use e-coupons, and order electronically through ebeigh for the extra 5% discount?

Just to update. I ordered Saturday morning and received the stick on Monday. Great shipping. I currently have a Abit BX6r2 running 192MB, one 128MB and one 64MB generic stick. I decided to put the Crucial stick in DIMM 1 and keep the others in place. Works perfect. 448 MB of memory! It is subtle, but the computer is more responsive. Rampage shows 200 to 150MB free, instead of dwindling down to nothing with 192 MB. Below ar some stats from MBM 5.

I ordered on Friday and I got it in today, Monday. Wow fast.

Tested it and it ran at 154mhz cas 2/2/2 although I had to bump the voltage to 3.6 to make it stable. Tried to run it at 157mhz but it locked up right in the middle of benchmarking. Although my Kingmax pc150 128meg did 157mhz cas 2/2/2.

This is such a great deal I'm going to order another 256meg stick before midnite strikes.

BTW, you don't need the webpromo link anymore. Discount is automaticly 15% no matter where you come from.
