soo nice, sooo well built, soo heavy.

packaging was awesome, the thing puts out nicely for my speakers.

i have the TV, and my computer hooked up to it, my romies computer may get hooked up to it, and i have my headphones running to it, and it makes my headphones pound too :D

so far nothing i dont like about it, although i think the green on light doesnt work, unless its a clipping light i dont know for sure.

o yea, be jealous it cost me $106 shipped :D

damn, i just realised i have no idea what the low filter actually does on it. it seems to cut out lowend bass like you think it would, but i wonder if the octave is just to low and it doesnt do that good of a job.

also the stupid amp overpowers my headphones at like 1/4 volume. (hd 280 pros)

It's a filter to cut out anything below 10Hz or so. Is it called sub-sonic? Back in the days of turntables it was commomn to have that filter to take out very low frequencies caused by the pick-up moving up and down. (wavy records)

well i know what low filter normally do, but this one is just strange in that way that it doesnt take out what i figured it would, its just labeled low filter, there is also a high filter, the high does more noticeable to the higher freqencies than the low, but if its 10hz and below then well that explains it.

Nice. :)

I'm still in the market..

Still looking at Dynaco equipment. Am probably going to pick up a Dynaco Stereo 120

And then later a Dynaco PAS tube preamp like this

Am in no hurry though. That's what burned me last time.

Hook up a turntable and watch the cones of your speakers and see how they move.

No praise for the man? ^^

Glad you enjoy it!

Eli's got a SCA-80 because the auction said it was in good condition... and it was anything but.

Note that 10hz is completely subsonic, the only sound you would hear would be high frequency distortion. 10Hz shakes rooms nicely though.

ok i can see what you mean, i dont own a turntable, or i might at home, but not here at my dorm.

ribbon, ya man thanks.

also, the first day i had it i bent the left front because i leaned it forward on the corner, thing bent. i might try and straighten it back up. to bad the things stainless steel friggin requires some force.

now just to build myself a rack at home and put it in there, and then slowly build up a collection.

man its to powerful. im scared im gunna blow my speakers, i know to much power can be good, but not enough can clip, but a quick flick of the EASY to turn dial and my speakers could be gone.

now just to figure out how to get a cheap low pass filter, (yea, PE has them for cheap) and then figure out how to get another amp for a sub, and then what sub.

although my RA will hate me next year if i bring that to shool. shake the dorm...
