Mapping Sales Data

Does anyone have any idea of how one would go about doing this:

I was wondering if it's possible to take sales data by zip code and put it on a map, to visually see which areas of the country are doing the best?

yahoo has a nice cloud system that could do that. free. google has free api to work this too.

i remember when i was working the dash beta i wrote some apps with yahoo to map pins to a map. it was a while ago so i forget where i put the code it was really simple i picked it up in a day with php as a xml front end

MS has MapPoint S/W (yes you might have to purchase it) that allows you to suck in data from a spreadsheet of database and map it.
