Well, if I spend as much time on it as I do on here, I should catch on fairly quickly. I've got the time.

I'm thinking a bridge would be the intersection of many polyhedrons. There might be a special effect for it, but I doubt it. it's all about the polyhedrons. That's my impression thus far.

I made a few Quake 3 maps. I'm sure if I can do that (with all the complex curves etc) I could do CS no problem ;)

no, its not just drag and drop

and q3 maps are much easier than hl maps.

anyone can pick up q3 mapping in an afternoon

if you think you can do it, try it

counter strike maps are nothing like death match maps... i know... i have made a bunch of good puake 3 maps... it is really freakin hard to do cs maps... you have to know building design, and you have to know EXACTLY what the layout of your map is going to be before you start, unlik eq3 where you could just start doing what looks right... building structure has got to be the hardest part, i feel like when im trying to make a map, i have to be a damn building engineer... it is real tough, i suggest you look at some drawings of buildings and such before you start learning the actual program... i beleive worldcraft is a free download from the valve site, not sur though...

snowpatrol... you are very wrong... cs maps are MUCH harder than q3...

I think an older version of worldcraft is on the HL CD, I know it was on mine, and I've got the original version
