Mapping Drives preventing Standby

I've been trying to get my system to automatically enter standby after X minutes, but have had the problem where it doesn't happen.

I narrowed the problem down to the on-board network card on my ASUS K8V Deluxe, it's a 3com Gigabit 3C940 card.

If I disable File & Print Sharing, then it'll go into standby just fine. I was also able to get it to work by Disconnecting my network mapped share.

So is there anyway to have the network share mapped and not have it interfere with standby?

That's odd. Mapped drives shouldn't interfere with standby. You shouldn't have to do anythign special, and there's no setting I know of to tweak. What OS is it? Are you at the lastest service pack?

I would try downloading the latest (or reistalling if they're current) power management drivers for your system.
