Mapping drive between XP and NT machine

TwoMix

Senior member
I'm trying to map drive on a xp pc on a domain to a NT (nt embedded exactly no domain) using a 2nd usb ethernet connector to the NT machine. When i put in the login/pw in XP it keeps trying to put a domain in front of the login id.
PCs can ping each other, and this works btwn a W2k and NT machine just not with XP.
Thanks for any advice.

try using the computer you are trying to get to as the domain name.
Example
computer 1's name = Athena
computer 2's name = Zeus
administrator has no password, is on both computers, both are in same worgroup

when at Zeus to map a share on Athena
i enter

athena\adminsitrator
{blank}
remember me checked...
