Mapping an XP drive with win2k

I have a pc running XP home SP2 that is connected to a win2k pc and I am trying to map the drive on the xp pc using the win2k pc. The XP pc wont accept any usernames that I try, although both computers show up in network neighbourhood on both pcs. I have successfully mapped the win2k pc's drives on the XP pc, so I don't see why it would not let me do the same for the other computer. I've looked for info with google but can't find anything I haven't already tried.

Hmm. Never experienced a setup like that, so I don't know. If you don't want the XP Home machine to require a password, try setting one up and then use userpassswords2 for an automatic login. From the 2K machine, try connecting using the password you created.

Although Windows XP allows one to logon without passwords, it requires that passwords be used for users who are connecting via the network to shared resources...

That doesn't work either. Does the fact that the logon names have no passwords change anything?

I know that with remote desktop, xp wont allow any logins that don't have a password set. So that may be the same case with the network shares. test it.
