Find out the ethnicity in your neighborhood. :p

Browse local data from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, based on samples from 2005 to 2009.
Because these figures are based on samples, they are subject to a margin of error, particularly in places with a low population, and are best regarded as estimates.

I guess many people in Seattle don't fill out the census...

Asians are underreporting too. UW report 30% of people who attend UW are asian. <20% show up for the census in UW campus specifically. Maybe because they're foreign?

I'm willing to bet that college students in general underreport for the census. I never did it when I was at school. The locals are more likely to fill it out and are less asian.

Hahah, love the perfect black/white border that 8 Mile creates.

Looks like a good number of Hispanics didn't fill out the census. SW has some clear spots. :p

That 8 mile line is spreading out more and more every year.

EDIT: I thought Dearborn would've been covered with gray with the big Arabic population they have. There are still Polish people in Hamtramck. Hurry up Pączki Day!!:awe:

How come the yellow dots are mixed with the blue dots in all cities sometimes, but there are no areas of mixed blue-green dots?

basically a take off of what that guy did a few months ago, with the flickr pics.

i'd like to see this with actual census data from 2010 rather than the yearly surveys

What amuses me is that Anubis lives 45 minutes away from me, and in that direction, his city has the first non-green dot on the map. Now, if there was another map that had crimes, my area would be relatively blank. The police reports the other day: "1:20am. Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man sitting on the sidewalk outside a bar on Main street. After a pep talk from police, the man got up and walked home."
