Mapped drive not displaying - Win95

Yeah, I know. We're about three OS's behind. However, I've run into an unusual problem. When mapping a network drive, the drive does not display in the Explorer view (even after refreshing). The drive may be accessed from a command line but still does not show as a graphic, whether mapped via a login script or connecting manually. I've tried Technet but haven't come up with anything. Any ideas?
