Map of cellular towers?

Hi,

Is there anyway to see a map of cellular towers? Even though AT&T says they have coverage in my area with their lousy GSM network, most of the time, it feels like they have 1 tower in all the the Bay Area. I'd like to see a map of the towers so I can understand why I hardly ever get good reception.

It's probably hard to find, but the local public records office might have it.

Assuming it wasn't classified under the thinking that terrostists might find out their locations. <shrug>

A few websites allow you to enter your rough location and it will show all towers in say 15 miles, but it will be by tower owner and not service. Besides it wouldn't be that useful since topography could really change what signal you're getting.

Yeah it's kinda hilly where I live. But, Verizon has perfect reception in my house. AT&T has very very little. Sigh, I think I'll stop cell service after my year is over. Verizon is so expensive and anything cheaper is not worth it. It'd be nice to have some sort of one way phone to use in case of emergencies. No need for a phone number or monthly fees.

I'm not sure how good that berkana.com locator is. Of three towers that I know in my area it doesn't show them, or it's showing them in the wrong location.

I work for Cingular. They wont even reveal the locations of all their towers to sales consultants. "Proprietary Information." Kinda stupid really. We end up with people deactivating for poor coverage when we don't know exactly where all the towers are.

I too work for Cingular in the Ocala FL call center. I have access to list of every sid/bid/tower in the country
