I'm not sure, but that elevation chart is probably 100 feet from highest to lowest. Pretty harsh for a shorter run.

Practically. It's these beautiful steep hills with all these custom built houses and dense river foliage that make up the bluffs of the American River. I've noticed most city races lead you through their premier neighborhoods.

The funny part is you do it in reverse at mile 3.9.
