Strange XP issue.
I have a number of machines connected via a Router. They access @Home, and each other via the LAN, without a problem at 100MB.
I did a clean install of XP on one of them, and all is actually working OK...EXCEPT!!!
When I try to map a network drive, from one of the other systems, on my XP machine , I have the following 2 issues.
1. When I map a drive using My Computer or Power Desk4 using tools it takes a VERY long time to map. Sometimes it times out and I have to try again.
2. When it does map, the first directory listing is SLOW.
After that, all is OK and fast.
I might add that all machines can map the XP system without an issue and the XP machine has no problem connecting to the web.
Any ideas? Most is working just fine!
