I have an Intel Q9550 quad core 2.83Mhz, Asus Rampage. I have 5 different CPU/GPU temp monitors and all 5 differ by large amounts. I use Asus PC Probe, RealTemp, Nvidia System Monitor, Bios Readings, etc. The problem is, randomly, one or two are saying cpu is baking (90+ celcius)....but the others say everything is just fine. I have noticed Nvidia monitor is always the highest...and Real Temp 2.70 is the lowest (typically 20-30 degree difference).
So...is there anything I can do? I went ahead and ordered a new heatsink/fan (Zalmon), but since I have no way of testing it...not sure what good it will do. Should I send the board back to Asus? Thanks.
