First off, no I?m almost positive I don't have a virus I have the latest version of Norton w/ updated definitions and have scanned the entire system. Now, on to the problems:

After a reboot, AIM will not start. I uninstall the program and then try to download it, it won't download so ok I figure AOL?s FTP is down. I get it from a backup disk and reinstall it, now it won't log me in, and just to test I still can't download it from AOL and there is nothing wrong with my Internet connection.

Msn messenger will not start. I removed it awhile back with advice from a WinXP FAQ that was posted here but now I want it. I did run: msconfig and enabled it to start and also downloaded it and installed it. No luck, it wont show any sign whatsoever of starting up. When I go to add/remove programs it is NOT EVEN LISTED....

So now I am thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling Internet Explorer, but wow, it's not in the add/remove programs list either? WTF!?
