Hey gurus!

I am wondering if you know of any other Manufacture outlets? Here are the ones I know about.
Dell
HP
Lenovo

I am leaning towards buying from the Lenovo outlet. What do you guys think about Lenovo computers?

The only outlet I've bought from is the Dell one, but I have been very pleased with it. I build my own machines, but my family get's Dell Outlet boxes every time somebody needs a new computer.

Lenovo is a company run from inside of China. We have used some of their stuff from before and after IBM sold Lenovo to the Chinese. The quality at times has been lacking on their monitors and I have seen failing power supplies. I would be reluctant to purchase any Lenovo products. I see Dell as having a little higher quality than Lenovo.

To be truthful, most computer parts seem to be coming from China. However, in the areas of quality control sometimes some chinese companies are cutting corners. I just purchased an Intel Motherboard and the box says Made in China. I dont hate China, I just think Lenovo quality is not good enough. Our school in the past has purchased a lot of IBM computers. Seems like we have moved more toward purchasing Dell Computers.

I work at a community college in Illinois and we have purchased hundreds of computers from IBM, Lenovo, and DELL over the years. I am using this experience and knowledge to base my opinion. I did not buy the computers or order them, however I used a lot of them.

I thank you for the review piasabird!
I am still leaning towards Lenovo despite your warning about the power supply, since I will be replacing the power supply and adding a video card. I have no need for a monitor so that is not a problem.
I currently own a Dell Laptop and am pleased with it despite the crazy problem with the screen which has some major glitches every once in a while. I run an ASUS 23" monitor instead of the laptop's screen.

I would recommend Dell as well. I have 3 Dells, 2 laptops and one desktop, all consumer-level products. My business laptop is a 7-year old Inspiron 6000 that has seen some pretty hard use... it even bounced around in the cab of a big truck for about 1.5 years in 100F heat and dusty conditions. It's still on it's original battery, but I recently upgraded the CPU, HDD and memory... I couldn't find a good reason to buy a new one and I feel it's good to go for another 7 years...
