Manually uninstalling WinXP????

OK, I'm thinking of clean installing WinXP on my 2nd PC and evaluating it.
If after 25 days or so I want to wipe it from the HD and reinstall Win98SE,
how do I do it?
First assume I've used Fat32. Do I manually create a boot floppy (w/system) then
copy WinXP format and fdisk (are there such files?) to the floppy? Because I know
I can't just use a Win98SE emergency floppy and fdisk as I'll get the wrong OS error.
Next assume I used NTFS. This I know nothing about......Is there a XP utility on the
CD to remove NTFS partitions?

using fat 32 i can format xp pro off with a 98 se boot disk

using ntfs takes partition commander or magic for me

Once a drive is formated NTFS, there is no going back unless you delete the partitions and start over.
You can get bootdisks from Bootdisks for just about any OS.
If you use either Fat32 or NTFS you will be ok, I would recommend fdisking and formatting even if you did stay Fat32. Makes for a nice clean install

One way to do it is to start the install process for WInXP, and then delete the partition using XP installer...then reboot to your Win98 boot disk and fdisk. If you have a set of Win2k boot disks you can do the same there too.

So what you're saying is that.....to manually remove XP you boot to the
XP CD Rom, the installer will start, and you use the installer to not only
install XP but also to setup/remove partitions (Fat32 or NTFS).
Of course when a partition is removed it's as if you have a virgin HD.
Then I reinstall Win98SE normally. That's great! Thanks for the info......
