I've redlined once in 20k miles - and that was just for the hell of it. I visit 4-5k on a daily basis, but that's just because my little 4cyl 108hp engine needs to hit that spot if I need to go quickly.

My usual shift point is just 3k rpms.

same here, except my 1.8 can muster 140 hp just before redline.

Mines only 1.5L 🙁

When racing yes. 7200limit, 7400 fuelcut.

Some kids in a Eclipse GST thought they'd pwn my lowly Focus last night. At the end of 2nd they were 4 cars back. Suckers.

I want a RX-8 😛

They really don't pull that strong, not nearly as much as a S2k or a 350z.

No, but my friend has a modified Integra that he can rev to 9.5K RPMs. Of course the T3/T4 turbo is more fun than the higher redline. 😉

Hey, according to this:

http://automobiles.honda.com/models/spe...cations_full_specs.asp?ModelName=S2000

My RSX-S has a higher redline!!! (by 1000 RPM). WOoohooT!

More like 100rpm 😛

Besides, the old S2ks had a 8500 or 9000 red.

Hehehe... yeah 100 RPM doh! 🙂
