Manipulate 2nd monitor while in a game?

Is this possible to do? Ideally there would be a button I could hold down which would allow me to scroll off the edge of the game to the 2nd monitor, to change songs and such, and then when I let go it goes back to just the one monitor.

I'm pretty new to the 2 monitor thing, but this would be really useful.

You either have to Alt Tab it or you have to played windowed.

well if someone can program such a program to allow quick access to 2nd monitor and then lock it again, they'll be highly respected.

You can play in windowed mode but have the window take up the entire first monitor.

They have. Its already built into every game that supports being played in window mode. thats what window mode is for and thats what Alt Tab is for too.

But in windowed mode you can move your mouse off the screen when you don't mean to. Alt tabbing is too much time. Although it looks like its my only option.

Any other solution, be it progrmaed into the game or a secondary program will have the same limitations as Alt Tab does.
