I was trying to watch the gamespot review and even though i'm over 18, the review doesn't post any 'gory' deaths or any deaths whatsoever. As soon as he attacks, they cut to the next segment. Can someone link me to good quality stealth attacks? I am interested in Manhunt2 and couldn't really tell if Manhunt was good or not. I played soem pretty gory games, is this one that bad?

sweet. Not worse than Shadow of Rome though. That was brutal. But if this were next gen game they can really go far with the executions. The animations were pretty good though. Would be nice if there were more gibs when he's hacking away at them.

I didn't get further than the shopping bags and knives, and lost interest quickly. The novelty of 'executions' is great and all, but not really enough to keep my attention.

so I take it you have no interest in Manhunt2?

I like games like Second Sight and all. How come there were no gun executions?

youtube shadow of rome. It's a gladiator like game where you can cut them apart vertically/horizontally, break arms, beat them with their own arm/leg, or throw someones head at them.

Interesting game, although I couldn't tell any of that from the video (E3 trailer). Looks like a combo of the traditional platform action game with some hitman and minigames thrown in.

Unrelated, I remember when people started fussing about "Google" being used as a verb 🙂. Now all of the major web services as referred to as such - "Oh, I can't find the item in stores so I'll just Ebay it".

One cool thing about MH is the skull fragments remain in the map >8) I actually liked the game a lot. I also liked SoR, at least up until that last boss. How tedious the combat became, that two stage boss just pissed me off. Lose in the second stage and you start from the first. The movie 300 made me want to play it some more 😀 There should be more Grecian/Roman ultraviolent games of the sort. Did not care for the stealth parts however.

Manhunt was not a good game. It was gory for the sake of being gory and to me, that was stupid. The gameplay was bad, and it is the only game that I've ever played that I came away feeling sad to be a fan of many violent video games.

I've always wanted to try Manhunt but something just keeps me from playing it. I guess maybe because it seemed a bit to hardcore for me even though I loved and beat every GTA for PS2. Besides it would be hard for me to play because I have two kids that love watching me play games and either I have to stay up late one night and play or not play at all. I certainly won't play something like this in front of them.

I guess main reason I was wanting to try it is because of Rockstar and it being violent.
