Manhunt on military channel kind of sucks

This reality show uses an SAS guy who runs from a team of special forces. The one I just watched took place in Siberia, where it was so cold that they had to call the entire thing off while the main character proceeded to die. He recovered over night, so they called it back on. You are wondering how, in a great windy arctic wilderness a guy with a headstart can be found by people on snow mobiles. The answer is: they cannot. So, the creators "leaked local intelligence" to put the trackers back on the guy. They still didn't find him, so again some "local intelligence" reported his movement and again they didn't get him in time. The thing just felt rather pointless and forced and also I imagine they never intended Siberia to be quite so ridiculously cold.

Dunno what you expect out of it. I think its quite entertaining compared to the other useless drivel that is classified as reality TV these days. Have you watched more than that one episode ?

No, and I won't bother watching again. It's so heavily staged as to be quite pointless. I like some of the alternative shows like Dr Danger, but this one doesn't make sense. I also found it strange how they put out an emergency rescue to find the dude when he was freezing to death and yet they continually zoomed in on a mass in the cold from the secret camera crew. Didn't they know where he was?

I agree that was a strange episode, and of the six that I've watched, it was the one that was most out of character with the way the show is usually produced. I've never heard of Dr. Danger, but the idea of Manhunt intrigued me, as it was at least worthwhile viewing compared to the other recycled garbage on TV.
