Manhunt for PS2

Anybody picked this up yet? I bought it today at Best Buy with a gift card I've been hanging on to for a while, but have yet to open it up. I bought it based solely on hype, then read the reviews after I bought it. Now I'm kinda skeptical. The reviews seem to be getting pretty damn good scores though.

IGN review - 8.5 out of 10

Gamespot review - 8.4 out of 10

Anyone played it yet and care to give their impressions? I don't want to open the game and lose any chance of taking it back just to see a couple of gory ass killing scenes.

I'm playing it right now.

It's violent. Man, it's REALLY REALLY violent.

GTA is a big pile of cuddly puppies and kittens next to this game. Seriously.

It's pretty fun too. Well thought-out and good production values.

However, the fvckchuckle who is in charge of making sure Rockstar's games have adequate control/character response should be shot in the nuts with a 12 gauge.
GTA: Clumsy on-foot/fighting controls.
State of Emergency: Clumsy on-foot/fighting controls.
Manhunt: OH LOOK! Controls are STILL not very tight AND you have a crappy camera! HOORAY!!

That aside, the game is pretty cool. It integrates with the USB headset so you can yell obscenities into it to get the bad guys' attention. Too bad it's not speech recognition because then I'd yell things like "I love you! Marry me!" to confuse my enemy.

Did I mention that this game is incredibly gory and violent? Well yeah, it is.

Oh holy crap. I just knocked someone down, and while he was curled up in a fetal position, I annihilated his head with a baseball bat. That was disgusting.
