It has everything to do with it, and several talking points could be made here;

- Liberal mindset, unlike the insane people who commit mass murder this individual is perfectly sane. He just happens to be a liberal with weapons training.
- This is happening in CA which has absolutely absurd gun laws, the individual wouldn't have made it 24 hours in TX or NH.-

Right...unlike the individual that killed the famed sniper at the gun range...

This isn't a political issue, imho. It's a moral one. This guy went against the system and the system railroaded him.

PTSD (mental illness) + Shot in the back (random suprise attack)

He "might" have been a conservative but he has PTSD, having armed civilians only tries to prevent outright slaughter and crime. Nothing can stop someone from killing someone else if they are hell bent on it even at a weapons range.

Having the left spout rhetoric about the weapons range killing is laughable considering it was a suprise attack with only two casualties.

I don't know how any of you fucking idiots could bring political affiliation into any of this. The guy is a pissed-off whack job that wants to take revenge on the system he felt has wronged him. We have plenty of whack jobs on the left and the right, so there's no point to be made from this.

Oh, it is VERY important his far left progressive views be brought to the forefront. Liberals keep doing these mass shootings and there's not a peep from the media about it. But if it were a conservative that would be the entire narrative. So yes, we DO need to keep pointing out he's a progressive leftist and how dangerous the domestic terrorist progressives are.

Those of you who keep bringing up left and right are really out of tune with reality. This guy is not making a political statement.

He made it a political statement when he released his manifesto. He went into politics and liberal media throughly.

Are you saying that it became a political statement because he released it to the media or what content are you basing it on?

So because the guy spouts random psychotic shit in his manifesto, by your rationale, getting disgruntled of your former employer and shooting them is a leftist thing.

Edit: quoted the wrong person and double post, sorry ipad posting :) Meant to quote NextJin.

I heard there were fakes floating around.

This one is supposedly not doctored and actually written by him.

Sounds like he was fired & stripped of security clearance for reporting excessive force being used by another officer.

The whole thing sounds like a movie or something.

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knoxville_Unitarian_Universalist_church_shooting

Adkisson, a former private in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977, said that he was motivated by hatred of Democrats, liberals, African Americans and homosexuals.[2][9][10] According to a sworn affidavit by one of the officers who interviewed Adkisson on July 27, 2008:[3]

“ During the interview Adkisson stated that he had targeted the church because of its liberal teachings and his belief that all liberals should be killed because they were ruining the country, and that he felt that the Democrats had tied his country's hands in the war on terror and they had ruined every institution in America with the aid of major media outlets. Adkisson made statements that because he could not get to the leaders of the liberal movement that he would then target those that had voted them into office. Adkisson stated that he had held these beliefs for about the last ten years. ”
Additionally, one of Adkisson's former wives had been a member (in the 1990s) of the church where the attack occurred.[11]

Adkisson's manifesto[12] also cited the inability to find a job, and that his food stamps were being cut. His manifesto stated that he intended to keep shooting until police arrived and expected to be killed by police. Adkisson had a waist satchel with more ammunition, totaling 76 shells of #4 shot.

In his manifesto, Adkisson also included the Democratic members of the House and Senate,[12] and the 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America [12] of Bernard Goldberg in his list of wished-for targets.

This is what political murder looks like. Also, your boy Anders Brevik.

The guy looks to be fed up with the injustices he perceives members of the LAPD commit everyday on the job. Losing his own job for reporting one such incident was the tipping point. I didn't read any kind of political rant in his manifesto.

What's funny is that even the doctored manifesto (if it was doctored) really isn't "liberal" - he expresses his admiration for President Obama and Hillary Clinton, yes, but also for George H.W. Bush, Chris Christie and John Huntsman. Clearly what gets conservatives so lathered up is that the doctored manifesto favors gun control and gay rights, which are not, strictly speaking, partisan issues (I know both Republicans and Democrats on both sides of each). The idea that there is any generalized partisan leaning among spree or serial killers is just stupid and false.

Full on liberal progressive mass murderer at work here...

Wayne LaPierre, President of the NRA, you're a vile and inhumane piece of shit. You never even showed 30 seconds of empathy for the children, teachers, and families of Sandy Hook. You deflected any type of blame/responsibility and directed it toward the influence of movies and the media. You are a failure of a human being. May all of your immediate and distant family die horrific deaths in front of you.

Mia Farrow said it best. "Gun control is no longer debatable, it's not a conversation, its a moral mandate."

Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing in leading the re-institution of a national AWB. Never again should any public official state that their prayers and thoughts are with the family. That has become cliche' and meaningless. Its time for action. Let this be your legacy that you bestow to America. Do not be swayed by obstacles, antagaonist, and naysayers. Remember the innocent children at Austin, Kent, Stockton, Fullerton, San Diego, Iowa City, Jonesboro, Columbine, Nickel Mines, Blacksburg, Springfield, Red Lake, Chardon, Aurora, and Newtown. Make sure this never happens again!!!

In my cache you will find several small arms. In the cache, Bushmaster firearms, Remington precision rifles, and AAC Suppressors (silencers). All of these small arms are manufactured by Cerberus/Freedom Group. The same company responsible for the Portland mall shooting, Webster , NY, and Sandy Hook massacre.

You really are one of the dumbest people I have ever encountered, including working for years as a criminal prosecutor and defense attorney. I'm not sure how you manage to tie your own shoes in the morning. Even Incorruptible is acting less stupid than you.

Has there been any confirmation about which one is real? Certainly the one that includes the political talk and shout-outs to Ellen, among other people, is strange, but I could imagine he might have authored two versions for dissemination among different people.
