Mandriva (Mandrake) Linux Problem

Hello,

The mouse is fine during the install, but when linux actually loads as the OS, the inputs are jerky. Someone recommended that I try disabling ACPI and I still had the same problem. The problem is a lot worse when the network monitor is running, but when I shut that off the problem is still there, just not as great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

USB mouse?
nForce motherboard?
How are the interrupts?

Did you load the proprietary drivers?

The interrupts. Are there a lot of them hoggin' the system?
