Mandrake problem booting?

I am having problems booting into Mandrake 8, the GUI boot interface, Aurora I belive will hang stating something like boot configuration parameters (?), I can boot into fail safe mode or if I set it to boot through the normal text interface it works OK. Anyone have any ideas on the problem?
