What are all of the files that I need to download to be able to install this without burning files to a cd. I am going to be installing it on a seperate fat32 hard drive in hopes of setting up a dual boot with xp, which is on the other hard drive.

I am not really sure this is worth the effort.. it would be a real hassle to try and download anything but the CD Images... to many files.. the latests Mandrake takes 3 CD to install... Easiest would be to burn them, find someone to burn them for you, or buy a couple of $2 cd from cheapbytes.com

You can also install directly off the internet via a simple boot floppy and FTP...

Just use rawwrite to create a floppy from the network.img from the images directory, and you can install via any of the mandrake mirrors directly without downloading anything other than the floppy image.

The other thing you can do is download the ISO's... use the windows program isobuster, to unpack them into a fat16/32 directory and use the hd.img install floppy
 
Will linux install on a FAT32 partition? And if so, WHY IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS FAT AND EATS HERRING WOULD YOU BOTHER?! But an ftp install is the best idea if you cant be bothered with downloading and burning iso's and still want it for free.

Actually there are distros for installing on top of a Windows parition...good few newbies, and puting a toe in I think...

But I was just saying he could copy the install files to a fat parition and just point the installer to that directory instead of a CDROM.
