MANDRAKE-LINUX 8 AND ATA100

I installed ata100 drivers in W2k, shutdown, reconnected the boot up drive from the ata66 to the ata100 controller and everything is now fine (running through the ata100 controller). However, Mandrake-Linux 8.0 which is on a separate partition on the same drive refuses to boot. I guess that I need to install the equivalent ata100 driver there too but can someone please tell me where and how?
