I installed with the system date as 1980 and used paranoid security settings. Now, I can't log in as root (I've changed the password repeatedly in single user mode to no avail) and the other accounts I created seem to have expired. running "setuptool" and lowering security doesn't help. What do I do? I dont really feel like reinstalling if I can avoid it.

got it figured out after a few reboots. to deal with expiration I deleted and recreated the accounts, and I dont know what made root work. right now i'm fighting with:
giving "cst" sudo permissions
getting sshd to run on boot
getting httpd to run on boot

i'ms ure i'm doing these all the wrong way.... but I am learning vi since i didn't put pico on and for some reason installing the emacs package only gave me "emacsclient" which appears thoroughly useless

. i can now get text to be where I want it to be about 50% of the time :)
