mandrake 8.2 dialup

I tried setting up a connection to my ISP using Mandrake 8.2.
It will not connect this is the error message i get.

how can i fix this?

Looks like a problem with the modem. Internal or External?
What are you using to dial out? kPPP?

the modem is internal, Actiontec Call Waiting Modem, it works in windows xp tho. and i am using kppp
