I like to eat Spam that's been cut into thin slices. I know a mandoline is used for vegetables and fruits, but can it cut Spam?

Could it yes, along with the tip of your finger if not careful, but they are painful enough to clean when using using just vegetables.
I am not sure how using a knife wouldn't be a lot easier to do and to clean up.

Note that the spam would probably have to be chilled to some extent to be firm enough so that it doesn't just smear on contact with the blunt, but fairly thin, blades most mandolins use.

I've tried knives, but it's very difficult to get thin, even slices, especially towards the end when there's very little Spam to hold on to.

Also, I want to avoid having to go to a meat slicer, since I don't have the kitchen space for something I would only occasionally use.

Freezing the spam for 10 minutes at a time might make it more mandolinable <- not a word.

Might I suggest an egg slicer?

wire cheese slicer sounds like the best choice.

keep the spam cold before slicing.

On Amazon, either the:

Swissmar Börner Original V-Slicer Plus Mandoline, or the Kyocera Adjustable Slicer with Handguard (doesn't julienne). Top rated in latest testing by Cook's Illustrated, fwiw.

I like my Swissmar. It comes apart and cleans easily. And yes, it is sharp.

err, being reconstituted, it would not be easy to slice it thinner than what you can do with a knife.
